Oxygen cylinders provided to ward-level isolation facility   

The Chandragiri Municipality-8 has been provided oxygen gas cylinders for an isolation ward coming into operation at the local Matatirtha Hospital from today. According to ward chair Santosh Khadka, the assistance was made by philanthropist Uttam Karki. " We have received 18 oxygen cylinders to be used for the isolation facility.''  

Prohibitory order extended in Surkhet  

The duration of prohibitory order against the second wave of Covid-19 has been extended by two weeks in Surkhet, the capital of Karnali Province.     The prohibitory order has been extended till the midnight of May 29 on the recommendation of the District Covid-19 Crisis Management Center. A meeting of the center held on Friday took a decision to recommend for the extension of order, said Chief District Officer Chhabilal Rijal.    

Nepal Korea Friendship Municipality Hospital produces oxygen  

Nepal Korea Friendship Municipality Hospital has started production of oxygen. An oxygen plant set up at the hospital with the help of Madyapur Thimi Municipality at the cost of Rs 6.5 million has produced 192,000 liters oxygen in the 24 hours.  

Untouched by first wave, Mustang now struggling to deal with COVID-19

The trans-Himalayan district has reported 89 infection cases so far with all four rural municipalities affected by the virus. Most of the infected people have needed oxygen support, said the health office.
