NIC Asia Bank donates three concentrator machines to Tokha Municipality 

The NIC Asia Bank has provided three oxygen concentrator machines to the Tokha Municipality to help the municipality cope with oxygen shortage it is facing amidst the increase in Covid-19 cases.   

Covid-19 claims nine lives in a single community   

Nine people of a single community died due to coronavirus spread at Gauri in Dullu Municipality-12, Dailekh.  This is the highest death toll recorded in a ward in the district of Dailekh.

Deputy Mayor of Saptakoshi Municipality Asha Chaudhary succumbed to coronavirus infection this morning. Deputy Mayor Chaudhary died at Birat Nursing Home in Biratnagar, according to Uttam Acharya, a resident of Kanchanrup Municipality.

The cases of coronavirus infection have surged in five rural municipalities out of seven local levels in the mountainous district of Humla.  Local officials said that the district has recorded increased number of the cases lately.

Cyclone Tauktae causing mild to light rainfall

The intensity of the cyclone is further growing and it is moving towards north and northwest. Many parts in Karnali, Sudurpaschim, Gandaki and Lumbini are likely to see moderate rainfall while noticeable rain is forecast in few places from Wednesday evening to Friday. Similarly, light to moderate rainfall has been forecast at a few places in Province 1, Province 2 and Bagmati Province.

CM Poudel issues directive for setting up oxygen plants at all district hospitals 

Chief Minister of Bagmati Province, Dormani Poudel has directed the hospitals in all the13 districts of the Province to install oxygen plant at the earliest for facilitating in the treatment of Covid-19 patients.
