Bhaktapur, May 15 : Nepal Korea Friendship Municipality Hospital has started production of oxygen. An oxygen plant set up at the hospital with the help of Madyapur Thimi Municipality at the cost of Rs 6.5 million has produced 192,000 liters oxygen in the 24 hours.
Patients have been supplied with oxygen through a pipeline following the successful test of the oxygen production, said the municipality mayor Madan Sundar Shrestha, also chairperson of the hospital management committee. “Production of oxygen has provided a great relief to patients,” he said.
Now with the production, the hospital needs only 30 filled oxygen cylinders on a daily basis for patients against 90 previously, he said. The production will be enough for 24 patients. At present, the hospital has 42 beds for Covid-19 patients.
