Health office denies hiding vaccines 

The District Health Office, Jhapa Chief Yograj Ghimire has denied irregularities in the vaccination campaign underway in the district.

Five children rescued from India 

Five children who had remained out of contact with their parents since the past two years have been rescued from various parts of neighbouring India.

Incidents of snakebite on the rise

The number of incidents of snakebite has increased unprecedentedly, due to rise in the temperature and heat. As a result, the Mahottari district hospital in Jaleswar has reported a rise in the number of people coming for treatment of snakebite.

Prohibitory order extended in Baitadi

This is the seventh time that the prohibitory order has been enforced in the district. The existing order had to be extended considering the threat of COVID-19 infection, acting Chief District Officer of Baitedi Khagendra Bharati said.

Govt to bring 18.3 million doses of vaccine by mid October

Releasing a press statement on Friday, Spokesperson at Ministry of Health and Science, Dr Krishna Prasad Poudel, informed that a total of 18.3 million dozes of anti-COVID vaccines were being brought from China, Japan and India combined.

Minister Bhusal and Chinese Ambassador hold discussions

On the occasion, Minister Bhusal said initiatives would be taken to resolve the problems seen in the construction of China-funded hydropower projects and transmission lines at a consensus. She also stressed the need of studying the proposal sent by Nepal on the issue of 'Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and bring it into implementation.

Tokha municipality gets health supplies from China

The medical supplies include 13 types of materials including oxygen concentrators, oxygen cylinders, thermometers, hand sanitiser and antigen testing kits. The assistance was handed to municipality mayor Prakash Adhikari by the Chinese representatives amidst a programme at Kerung recently.
