Bharatpur hospital full of corona infected   

The pressure of patients coming with Corona Virus infection has increased in Bharatpur Hospital. As the number of corona infections continues to increase in the district, so is the number of people coming to the hospital for treatment.  

Khaijanpur village sealed off 

Three members of a family have died of Corona Virus infection in Khaijanapur village of Triyuga municipality-2 in the district. Raman Pokharel,43, died 15 days ago, Hem Raj Pokharel,38, a week later and Devi Pokharel,36, died on Friday night, according to the ward chair Dhaman Singh Khatri.    

Melamchi flood update: Chanaute bridge was washed away  

The flooded Melamchi river has washed away the red bridge over the river in Chanaute. According to local resident Hasta Pandit, the bridge collapsed at 7:45 this morning.   

Radio Melamchi office building swept away  

Floods in the Melamchi river last night has swept away the building housing the Melamchi radio station. The building was uprooted and swept away at around 12:40 last night, said Radio Melamchi Chair Damber Rasik.

Country reports 3,106 new COVID-19 cases

A total of 3,106 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the country in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. New cases were detected from 9,263 RT-PCR tests and 4,256 antigen tests conducted during this period, the Ministry said.

COVID-19 vaccines will be available to industrialists and entrepreneurs on Monday. The vaccination drive is taking place on the initiatives of Lalitpur Metropolitan City and with the help of the Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).    

Cent percent rice transplantation in Karnali   

One hundred percent rice transplantation has taken place in Karnali Province this year as against 98 percent last year.     Karnali which is known as the 'dry province' has 38,385 hectares of land suitable for paddy production.
