Bhimdutt Highway back into operation   

The Bhimdutt Highway connecting Attaria-Syaul, which was blocked due to landslides triggered by continuous rains, has been reopened. The highway was blocked on Friday evening when a landslide hit Katal on the highway under Gaira of Doti and Sahunkharka of Dadeldhura.         

Water Resources Development Strategy for Kamala River Basin launched 

Water Resource Development Strategy for Kamala River Basin conducted by the Government of Nepal in partnership with the Government of Australia was unveiled on Friday.     The strategy is aimed at strengthening national capabilities in sustainable water resources development and management. The strategy was developed by applying highly participatory approaches with the engagement of key stakeholders.

India reports 40,120 fresh COVID-19 cases, active cases lowest since March 2020   

After 42,295 recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours, India's COVID-19 active caseload dropped to 3,85,227 and now only constitute 1.2 per cent of the total infections, the lowest since March 2020, according to the Union Health Ministry on Friday.
