Government withdraws PCR test rule to seek medical care

The Ministry of Health and Population has decided to remove the provision of undergoing a COVID-19 PCR test to seek medical treatment.

A man here is alleged of beating her spouse to death. The accused is Kamal Raut, 40, of Birtamod- 5, Jhapa.    

Two killed, 12 others sustain injury in road mishap   

Two persons died and 12 others sustained injuries in a road accident at Manahari rural municipality-6 in Makawanpur district along the East-West Highway this morning.     The deceased have been identified as assistant driver Subash Shrestha, 22, of Tarkeshwor rural municipality-4 in the Makawanpur and Shambhu Darai Magar, 29, from the same place, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Jayashwor Rimal.

Country's second largest substation comes into operation; PM Deuba to inaugurate on Saturday

The NEA has named the substation as a New Khimti. The substation was constructed at Manthali municipality-13, Devitar in Ramechhap. The transmission line of double circuit 220 KV brought from Gangar of Dolakha has been connected with Dhalkebar transmission line. Likewise, the capacity of 132-KV power has been connected with Kathmandu through substation.
