93 per cent of target group vaccinated against COVID-19

The government has successfully vaccinated 93 percent of the target groups against COVID-19. Out of the total population over 18 years of age, 18,498,160 people have been given at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.    

'Ex-NA personnel Conference'  

Chief of Army Staff Prabhuram Sharma will inaugurate the 'Conference and Health Camp' to be held under the coordination of the Army Management and Military Welfare Board in Dipayal, according to the Military Public Relations and Information Directorate. The conference will then move to Dhangadi, Surkhet and to Nepalgunj.    

Man killed in road accident   

One person has died in a tractor accident in Baitadi last night. The deceased has been identified as Arjun Tharu, 32, of Thakurdwara Municipality-5, Bardiya.    

Govt. to prioritize reservoir projects, says PM Deuba

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba said that the government would work for the development of large reservoir projects. Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the 220-132 KV new Khimti substation completed under the Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Project at Gogar in Dolakha earlier today, he said that the Budhigandaki and West Seti reservoir projects will be moved forward. 

Fruits worth around Rs 7 billion imported  

Fruits of various kinds worth Rs 6.6 billion have been imported in the first seven months of the current fiscal year 2021/22, according to the Department of Customs.
