Tipper knocks down scooter rider in Bhaktapur 

A scooter rider died while a pillion rider was injured when a speeding tipper hit the scooter today at Adarshan Chowk of Suryabinayak Municipality-8 along the Araniko Highway.  

NC Nawalpur district convention postponed

Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta east) district convention of the Nepali Congress has been postponed. The Nepali Congress postponed the district convention, citing a lack of preparations for the convention.

Construction of Darbang-Myagdikhola Hydropower Project begins  

Construction of the Darbang-Myagdikhola Hydropower Project has started in Malika rural municipality. The Dhaulagiri Kalika Hydro Limited has started construction of the 25 MW capacity project with investment from non-resident Nepalis.    

School using technology friendly smart board   

The Shiva Secondary School in Dumsi of Byas municipality has started teaching its students through technology-friendly smart board. The school has replaced chalk, duster, white board and marker with the projectors and laptops to teach students through e-books.    

UML central office bearers to increase in number 

 The CPN (UML) is going to increase the size of its Central Committee. The last meeting of the incumbent Central Committee held in Sauraha has decided to increase the number of office bearers including the central members. The UML has stated that the number of members and office bearers has been increased for unanimous leadership.    

CPN (Maoist Centre) to conduct municipal level convention on Saturday

The CPN (Maoist Centre) is all set to conduct its convention at 753 local levels tomorrow (Saturday). Party Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' is scheduled to inaugurate the municipal level convention at once virtually.

Medical institution having less than 100 beds would not be permitted for nursing education, Minister Poudel

Minister for Education, Science and Technology Devendra Poudel said the government would not allow teaching institutions not possessing own 100 beds for the operation of nursing education.
