Maoist Centre’s General Convention: invitation to top political leaders  

The CPN (Maoist Centre) has invited top leaders of major political parties to an inaugural session of its General Convention at 3:00 pm today at the local Kamaladi-based Nepal Academy.     It may be noted that the party renamed the ‘National Conference’ as the ‘General Convention’. 

Weather: Rain and snow forecast until Wednesday

Two killed in road accident in Sarlahi 

Two persons were killed in separate road accidents in Sarlahi last night. A woman died after she was knocked down by a bicycle while a male person died in a motorbike accident, the Sarlahi Police said.

Veterans Cup football tournament to be held in Nawalpur  

A national-level 'Veterans Cup Football Tournament is to be organized in Nawalpur of Nawalparasi (East of Bardaghat Susta).     On the occasion of New Year 2022, Maghe Sankranti and Maghi Festival, a football tournament is being organized by District Football Association Nawalpur with support from Returnee Migrants Nepal Nawalpur Branch and Tiger Club Gochhada.    

Suspension bridges to be constructed in Kotbhairav and Dudheshwar

Suspension bridges are being constructed at Kotbhairav and Dudheshwor, historical and archeological sites in Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality-2 and 5 to attract tourists to the district. The bridge is being constructed at a height of at least 70 meters above Dwari river in Dipayal with the objective of making it easy to see the scenery around.
