A session of the National Assembly today endorsed the 'Nepal Engineering Council (First Amendment) Bill- 2076 BS'. It was passed unanimously.

National Assembly lawmakers have stressed the need of ratifying the protocols to the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organised Crime, for collectively addressing the inter-country organized crime.    

Programme to promote Nepal's tourism taking place in UK

A promotional event targeting the Visit Nepal Year-2020 is to be organised in the United Kingdom.     The event will highlight introduction about Nepal, touristic destinations, its cultural life and so on, trying to encourage more and more people to visit Nepal, event coordinator Raghu Dahal said.    

Chand-led group's three cadres held  

The district police have arrested three cadres of Netra Bikram Chand-led group from Morang district.     They also confiscated pamphlets and leaflets belonging to the party, a country-made pistol and its bullet from the arrestees who have been identified as Naresh Chaulagain of Sundarharaincha

Koirala calls for timely convention of NC general convention   

Central member of main opposition Nepali Congress Dr Shekhar Koirala today stressed the need for convening party's general convention on time before the upcoming local level elections in the Nepali month of Chaitra in 2078 BS.

Efforts on to operate Nepal-Australia direct flight   

Efforts are underway to ensure a direct flight between Nepal and Australia, it has been said. A bilateral agreement to this was signed on October 2.      Data shows that around 150 thousand Nepalis currently reside in Australia and in the absence of direct flight, those Nepali community and tourists leaving here for a Nepal visit are forced to endure several transit routes.    

KMC engages efforts to make NVY-2020 a success
