State to gain more than Rs 4 billion from Gokarna Forest Resort lease agreement: Nepal Trust

The state would get around Rs 4.32 billion benefit directly and indirectly from the agreement to extend the term of lease agreement of Gorkarna Forest Resort, according to the Office of the Nepal Trust.

Two die in road mishap 

Two persons died in a road accident at Tinpiple of Tarakeshwor municipality-3 of Kathmandu this morning.     The accident took place when a mini-truck (Na 2 Ka 338) heading towards Sisdole landfill site, Okharpauwa via Pasanglhamu road of Nuwakot carrying garbage fell around 20 meters off the road.

Kathmandu valley temperature dips to 0.9  

The Kathmandu Valley has experienced a bit chilly day today with the mercury dipping to 0.9 degree, the lowest temperature in the Valley so far this year.      The Valley recorded 2.9 degrees on Wednesday. "The mercury may drop to below zero this year if the westerly winds have an impact again," said meteorologist Ganga Nagarkoti.

Climate literacy in Jumla 

Climate literacy has started in remote wards of Jumla district.     Partnership Aid Centre (PACE-Nepal), an organization, has initiated climate adaptation literacy through its CAPS Karnali project, which is being implemented with support from Nepal government's Ministry of Forest and Environment.
