     Petrol tanker truck plunges into Trishuli   

A truck carrying petroleum products has met an accident and plunged into the Trishuli river in Charaundi of Galchi rural municipality-6. The truck (Na. 4 Kha. 2822) burst into flames after the fall, according to eye witnesses.    

Cancer hospital staff found dead   

A staff of the BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital in Bharatpur has been found dead. Surya Mishra,32, a resident of Simara was found dead in the canal that passes through the hospital, according to District Police Office, Chitwan.   

NPC, federal govt to guide local bodies in planning

The local bodies across the country are being guided in formulating plans and programmes for their respective governments. The National Planning Commission (NPC) is partnering with the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration (MoFAGA) and planning commissions of the states to run programmes to build and enhance the capacity of the local governments in formulating plans and development programmes.

Nepal's COVID-19 death toll crosses 400 with 11 fatalities

The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Saturday confirmed 11 COVID-19 related deaths. With this, Nepal's COVID-19 death toll reached 401 and the death rate stands at 0.64 per cent.

Kathmandu Valley records 711 new cases of COVID-19

In 10,333 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 711 persons, 278 females and 433 males, were found with the novel coronavirus infection in the Valley itself, revealed the daily report released by the MoHP today.

Kathmandu Valley records 859 new cases of COVID-19, highest in a single day

The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Friday confirmed 859 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley. This is the highest single-day tally recorded in the Valley until now. Of the 859 new cases, 698 cases including 216 females and 482 males, were detected in Kathmandu, 82 cases including 48 females and 34 males, were found in Bhaktapur and 79 cases, including 32 females and 47 males were recorded in Lalitpur.
