With 16 death cases, Nepal records highest daily fatalities from COVID-19, death toll reaches 427

The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Monday confirmed COVID-19 related deaths. This is the highest number of fatalities confirmed in Nepal in a single day. With this, Nepal's COVID-19 death toll has reached 427 and the death rate stands at 0.7 per cent.

674 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Kathmandu Valley

The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Monday confirmed 674 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley. Of the 674 new cases, 538 cases including 213 females and 325 males were detected in Kathmandu, 74 cases including 30 females and 44  males were found in Bhaktapur and 63 cases including 31 females and males each were recorded in Lalitpur.

Three of a family drown in a fish pond in Morang

Three of the same family died in Motipur, Gramthan Rural Municipality-4, Morang, by drowning in a fish pond. Kathmandu Valley records 767 new cases of COVID-19

The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Sunday confirmed  767 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley. Of the 767 new cases, 602 cases including 230 females and 372 males, were detected in Kathmandu, 101 cases including 41 females and 60  males, were found in Bhaktapur and 64 cases, including 34 females and 30 males were recorded in Lalitpur.

Banke's 41 COVID-19 patients including a 2-year-old discharged after recovery

On Sunday itself, as many as 41 persons including a two-year-old girl and a 70-year-old male were discharged after recovering from the virus infection, informed the District Health Office, Banke. According to Naresh Shrestha, the focal person of the Banke Health Office, 41 people including eight females and 33 males, who were receiving treatment in various isolation centers and hospitals after testing positive for COVID-19 on September 6, were discharged after recovering from the infection.
