Kathmandu, Nov. 11: Kathmandu District Court (KDC) has granted permission to arrest industrialist Padma Jyoti, Chairman of Jyoti Group.
Nepal Police (NP) had asked permission from KDC to arrest Jyoti in a housing fraud case lodged by Bijendra Krishna Malla. "Justice Shree Krishna Bhattarai, today permitted NP to arrest Jyoti," said Ananda Prasad Shrestha, Spokesperson of KDC.
After the Supreme Court had vacated stay order against Jyoti's brother Roop Jyoti, NP had arrested Rup Jyoti, Vice-Chairman of Jyoti Group and his daughter Suruchi Jyoti last Thursday.
