By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 31: Nepal has recorded four COVID-19 deaths in a single day today.
A 65-year old female COVID-19 patient died while receiving treatment in Patan Hospital today. Earlier today, Parsa had recorded three COVID-19 deaths including death of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Jagadamba Enterprises.
According to Dr. Bishnu Prasad Sharma, director of Patan Hospital, the 65-year old female was admitted to Patan Hospital on July 21 after she tested positive for the virus in Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test done at Star Hospital, Sanepa.
“She was also suffering from pneumonia. After having some difficulties in breathing, she was given ventilator support,” said Dr. Sharma.
With this, the COVID-19 death toll in Nepal has reached 56.
