Meeting of Council of Ministers taking place at 3:00

Badri Tiwari, deputy secretary of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, said that the meeting would be held at 3:00 in the office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

COVID vaccination moving smoothly

As the government plans to vaccinate 33 per cent of the target population against COVID-19 by mid-October, the vaccination campaign is going on in full swing across the nation. According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 6,960,828 (32 per cent) people have taken their first dose of vaccine and 6,205,770 (28.5 per cent) people have been fully vaccinated so far. Government to table three bills in parliament for endorsement

Monsoon not to withdraw soon

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) Monday said that there is no immediate chance of withdrawal of monsoon from Nepal within its stipulated time on October 3. Meteorologist at DHM Raju Pradhananga said the monsoon is not likely to withdraw immediately considering the current partially to generally cloudy situation of the country resulting light to moderate rains in sporadic places of the country, including the Kathmandu Valley.

975 new cases of COVID-19 in 24 hours

In 12,081 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the past 24 hours, a total of 975 persons were found infected with SARS-CoV-2, informed the Ministry of Health and Population on Monday through its regular update.
