By Siraj Khan, Nepalgunj, Nov. 22: Two persons of Dang district infected with SARS-CoV-2 have succumbed to the infection while undergoing treatment at Nepalgunj Medical College Teaching Hospital in Kohalpur.
A 67-year-old male of Bangau, Gorahi Sub-metropolitan City-9 in Dang district died last night while another male aged 68, a permanent resident of Beluwa, Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City-9 also in Dang district, died from the infection this morning, according to Naresh Shrestha, Corona Focal Persona of Banke.
Shrestha said that the persons suffering from COVID-19 were given oxygen, administered remdisivir, antibiotic and other types of medicines in course of treatment for curing them. However, they could not recover from the infection.
With this, number of people who came for COVID-19 treatment in the district but succumbed to it has reached 46, according to District COVID-19 Crisis Management Center, Banke.
