By Deepak Gyawali, Butwal, Apr. 19: Two ministers of the Lumbini provincial government has tendered resignation from their posts after the registration of the no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Shankar Pokharel.
Kul Prasad KC, minister for law and internal affairs, and Sudarshan Baral, minister for social development, both of whom represented the CPN (Maoist Center) resigned from their posts after their party withdrew its support to the government.
Social Development Minister of Lumbini Province Baral confirmed of their resignation and said that they have also demanded a special session of the provincial assembly along with the no-confidence motion.
NCP (Maoist Center), Nepali Congress and Janata Samajwadi Party jointly registered the no-confidence motion against CM Pokharel and that Maoist Center leader KC has been proposed as the new Chief Minister in the motion.
