By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 8: Three workers have sustained serious burn injuries when a gas tank of 980 kg capacity exploded after leakage at cooking gas cylinder storehouse of Gauri Shankar Gas Company located at Bhaisipaty, Banepa Municipality-13 in Kavrepalanchowk district.
Yogendra Timilsina, an inspector at Area Police Office, Banepa, informed that the workers were working in the factory when the gas leakage occurred.
Of the injured, Lok Bahadur Khadka, 55, of Banepa-13, who sustained a serious injury, has been referred to Kirtipur Burn Hospital after primary treatment at Shir Memorial Hospital in Banepa.
Saila Bhujel, 70, of Bhaisipati, Banepa-13 and Kumar Bhujel, 42, of the same place, who were mildly injured, have been undergoing treatment at the Shir Memorial Hospital in Banepa.
The police is carrying out an investigation as to what caused the explosion of the gas tank.
