By Siraj Khan, Nepalgunj. Jan.1: A person was killed and seven others injured when a bus collided with a tractor near SK Petrol Pump along Nepalgunj-Kohalpur road.
The bus then went out of control, entered an auto shop nearby, and killed an auto-rickshaw mechanic.
According to Subhash Khadka, Deputy Superintendent of Police(DSP), spokesperson of the District Police Office, Banke, the bus (Na 5 Kha 5773) heading towards Kohalpur from Nepalgunj hit the tractor (Ta 5134) heading in the same direction, as a result, the bus went out of control thereby hitting a nearby auto-shop today at 12 PM.
According to the Police, the tractor was moving ahead of the bus in the Nepalgunj-Kohalpur road section, and while the truck was turning right, then it was hit by the bus on its rear side.
The bus collided with the trolley uncontrollably and suddenly turned left and crashed into the auto shop situated on the left side.
According to Police Spokesperson Khadka, the mechanic that was killed has been identified as Bikram Brijwasi of Udayapur, Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolis-13.
The injured are undergoing treatment at Nepalgunj Medical College, Nepalgunj Teaching Hospital, informed the police.
Of the seven injured, five have sustained general injury whereas two others have a more serious injury.
