By Arjun Kafle, Syangja, Nov. 8: A person has been killed while four others seriously injured in a jeep accident at Harkhodi, Bhirkot Municipality-5, in Syangja district.
The deceased has been ideintified as Asim Sen, 17. He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Manipal Hospital in Pokhara, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rajendra Prasad Adhikari, information officer at the Syangja District Police Office.
The jeep with registration no. Lu 1 Cha 2696 was loaded with hey and was heading for Harkhodi from Pakan.
The injured are Shiv Sen, 35, Manoj Sne, 39, Dil Bahadur Sen, 52 and Anjan Sne, 22, of Bhirkot Municipality-5.
All the injured have been getting treatment at Kalika Community Hospital in Helu, according to DSP Adhikari.
The jeep had veered off some 30 meters below the road and driver Raju Pangeni, who fled from the accident site, has also been arrested, said DSP Adhikari.
