By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 8: The Ministry of Health and Population has confirmed 23 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley today.
Of the infected, 16 are from Kathmandu and seven are from Lalitpur, informed Dr Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.
No new cases of virus infection was found in Bhaktapur in the last 24 hours.
Till the date, 282 have tested positive for COVID-19 in the Kathmandu valley. Of the total, 186 persons are from Kathmandu, 48 are from Lalitpur and 43 from Bhaktapur, according to Dr Gautam.
28 people in the valley had tested positive for the virus on Tuesday. Likewise, on Monday, 54 cases of virus infection were confirmed in the Kathmandu valley. Likewise, 30 cases were recorded in the valley on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the national COVID-19 tally has reached 16,423 including 7,752 cases of recovery and 35 death cases.
