By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Apr. 29: Four lawmakers of the Lumbini Provincial Assembly have lost their position after the party they represented, the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP), withdrew them from the assembly.
According to the notice of the assembly, Santosh Kumar Pande, Bijay Bahadur Yadav, Suman Sharma Rayamajhi and Kalpana Pande have been removed as the lawmakers of the provincial assembly.
Although three of the lawmakers, except for Kalpana Pande in the group of four removed today, had signed in the no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Shankar Pokhrel, all the four were inducted in the provincial Cabinet on April 19 prior to the session of the assembly thus aborting the effort to remove CM pokhrel from the post.
Meanwhile, Mahantha Thakur, one of the chairmen of the JSP has written to the Assembly not to remove the lawmakers from the assembly as there has been no such decision in the party center.
