By Siraj Khan, Nepalgunj, Nov. 10: Banke has recorded four COVID-19 related fatalities in the last 24 hours.
According to COVID-19 Crisis Management Center, Banke, three SARS-CoV-2 infected patients of Bardiya and one of Dang succumbed to COVID-19 while receiving treatment at Bheri Hospital, Nepalgunj Teaching Hospital and Western Hospital, Bardiya.
A 29-year-old male of Thakurdhara-2 and a 35-year-old male of Bansgadhi-8 of Bardiya succumbed to the infection on Monday while receiving treatment at Nepalgunj Medical College and Western Hospital, Bardiya respectively.
Likewise, a 64-year-old male COVID-19 patient of Ghorahi-15, Dang died at 9:00 pm on Monday and a 32-year-old male of Rajapur Municipality-8, Bardiya died on Tuesday afternoon, informed Naresh Shrestha, COVID-19 focal person of Banke. Both of them were undergoing treatment at Bheri Hospital.
The respective hospitals said that the health condition of all four patients was serious and their lives couldn’t be saved despite administering Remdesivir medication, plasma therapy and other treatment methods.
The Banke District Health Office informed that a total of 32 COVID-19 patients of different districts, who had come to Banke for treatment died while undergoing treatment.
