By Siraj Khan, Nepalgunj, Sept. 29: As many as 44 persons including 15 females infected with COVID-19 and staying in different isolation centers returned home after getting recovery from the virus in Banke District on Tuesday.
Naresh Shrestha, focal person of the Health Office, Banke, said that all 44 people were discharged today after the 14 long stay in isolation center. They all had tested positive for the virus on September 15.
The recovery rate from COVID-19 is increasing each day of late, he added.
According to the focal person, 1,860 have been infected with coronavirus so far, of them, 1,807 have been discharged after recovery, whilst, 348 people are still getting treatment in different isolation centers.
The recovery rate in the district has increased from 81 percent to 81.2 percent on Tuesday.
Similarly, the death rate of infected people in the district is 0.70 percent and the outbreak rate is only 0.31 percent, according to the health office.
Meanwhile, 15 persons including 4 females have lost their life to COVID-19 in the district so far, according to the health office.
