As NEPSE nosedives, investors lose Rs 98 billion

Permission given to issue Rs. 40b in 10 months, securities worth Rs. 327b listed

Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has approved the total issuance of securities worth Rs. 40.43 billion during the first ten months of the current fiscal year 2020/21. According to the data provided by Nepal Rastra Bank, the SEBON has given permission to the concerned companies to issue debentures worth Rs. 17.54 billion, ordinary shares worth Rs. 13.34 billion, mutual funds worth Rs. 6.5 billion and rights shares worth Rs. 3.5 billion by mid-May, 2021.

Gold price declines by Rs. 1,200 per tola

Prices of gold and silver decreased significantly in local market on Friday. The gold price declined by Rs. 1,200 per tola in the domestic market today compared to the price of Thursday. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of gold decreased to Rs. 90,800 per tola (11.664 grams) today from Rs. 92,000.
