Kathmandu, June 22: The government has approved the detail project report of the Nepal-China Friendship Industrial Park. The meeting of the Investment Board today approved the DPR of Nepal-China Friendship Park, which is going to the largest such park in the country.
Board spokesperson Bhupal Baral said with the approval of the DPR, the project has got permission to hold further agreement with the project developers. The meeting has also approved investment on the Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower project.
The total investment of the project is estimated to be Rs 64 billion. The project is of 284 megawatt capacity. Similarly, investment on Manang Marsyangdi Hydro project was also approved. The estimated investment of the 139.2 MW project is Rs 33.41 billion.
Similarly, the meeting has approved permission for feasibility study for a survey on the Arun Hydro Project. The project has the capacity of generating 679 megawatt of power. The meeting has also formed a study committee to prepare the modality of investment for West Seti and SA-6 United Hydro Project.
On the occasion, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli directed the authorities concerned to construct the transmission line system while developing the construction project and forge coordination with concerned sides.
