IFC, NEPSE ring the bell for gender equality

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) has joined the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) to 'Ring the Bell for Gender Equality,' an annual global event that highlights how the private sector can spur women’s participation in the global economy and promote sustainable development. This is the second consecutive year NEPSE joined the event.

NCC urges envoy Sharma to facilitate tourism, investment

Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) has suggested newly appointed Ambassador of Nepal to India Dr. Shankar Sharma to play a role to reduce trade deficit with India through tourism promotion and investment. FM Sharma requests to use electric stoves instead of gas

The 33/11 kV Musikot substation constructed in Dhairenichaur, Musikot Municipality-3 of Rukum West has come into operation. Finance Minister Janardan Sharma and Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Pampha Bhusal jointly inaugurated the substation at a function organised in Musikot on Monday. Electricity will be supplied from the substation to Rukum East and West and some places of Jajarkot.

Jiwan Parajuli’s Close-Up released

Jiwan Parajuli has come up with a non- fiction book Close - UP based on various dimensions and characters of Nepali filmdom. Divided into six sections, the book covers the experiences, involvements and struggles of many filmmakers of different periods. Author Parajuli said that even though the book does not include many characters and their stories, he will continue to write other books including the events reflecting history of the film and the personalities of the characters concerned.

Trailer of Mantra released

Trailer of Mantra was released on Sunday. Saugat Malla, Buddhi Tamang and Deeya Pun have done the lead role in the movie. Directed by Khil Bahadur Gurung, the film will be released on April 29.
