Kathmandu, Mar. 22: Jiwan Parajuli has come up with a non- fiction book Close - UP based on various dimensions and characters of Nepali filmdom.
Divided into six sections, the book covers the experiences, involvements and struggles of many filmmakers of different periods.

Author Parajuli said that even though the book does not include many characters and their stories, he will continue to write other books including the events reflecting history of the film and the personalities of the characters concerned.

“I have shaped the book including only a part of the film industry to quench my thirst for writing. This is just the beginning and the book is considered as the first volume. There are many personalities who have contributed to bringing Nepali cinema to its present place. There is still much to write about,” said Parajuli.

The book edited by film director and critic Dipendra Lama has 363 pages.
Kitab Yatra has marketed the book published by Thuloparda Media.

Parajuli has plan to make the book available in various countries of Europe and also in Thailand, India, South Korea and Australia.
Writer Parajuli is a film journalist by profession.

The book, priced at Rs. 599, will be available nationwide this week and through Amazon.
