Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has urged the Banks and Financial Institutions (BFIs) to accept the land that is not connected to the road as collateral for loan mobilisation. The Voice Kids Nepal starts airing from Friday

The singing reality show The Voice Kids Nepal, has started airing on Himalaya TV from Friday. The children’s singing show premiered at the FCube Hall, Chabahil on Thursday. Singers Raju Lama, Pramod Kharel, Prabisha Adhikari and Milan Newar appear as the coaches in the show which will air on Himalaya TV at 8 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. NA recommends promotion of two generals, seven colonels

Two Brigadier Generals and seven colonels of the Nepal Army have been recommended for promotion. The Army headquarters Thursday published a seven-day notice for their promotion. A meeting of the promotion committee chaired by Lieutenant General Bal Krishna Karki recommended their names, according to the Nepali Army Headquarters (NAHQ). The meeting of the Council of Ministers to be held next week will take the decision on the recommendation.

The concerned government bodies informed that formulation and implementation of necessary plans and policies will be sped up to ensure safe motherhood after they accumulate and analyses the data regarding Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR). Nepal plans to bring down the MMR to 70 per 100,000 by 2030 as part of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The latest data regarding MMR in Nepal is 239 per 100,000; it was calculated in 2015.

Junar yield to increase by up to 20%
