Kathmandu, Nov. 13: Two Brigadier Generals and seven colonels of the Nepal Army have been recommended for promotion. The Army headquarters Thursday published a seven-day notice for their promotion.
A meeting of the promotion committee chaired by Lieutenant General Bal Krishna Karki recommended their names, according to the Nepali Army Headquarters (NAHQ).
The meeting of the Council of Ministers to be held next week will take the decision on the recommendation.
Pradip Jung KC and Yograj Sharma have been recommended for promotion as Major Generals. KC is currently working at Central Command Headquarters Pokhara while Sharma is working at Western Command Headquarters.
Colonels Bholanath Thapa, Bishnukumar Khadka, Krishna Prasad Bhandari, Prakash Raj Thapa, Bhuvan Khatri, Jyotindra Mahat and Manoj Kumar Silwal have been recommended for promotion as Brigadier Generals.
