FM Sharma urges ministries  to spend budget on time

Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has urged the various ministries to spend 30 per cent of the budget of their respective ministries by mid-January 2022. He made this remark at an inter-ministerial discussion and interaction programme on capital expenditure held at the Ministry of Finance on Friday.

Gold price up by Rs. 1,000 per tola

Gold price increased in the domestic bullion market on Friday. The price of gold increased by Rs. 1,000 per tola in the local market on Friday compared to its price on Thursday. Gold, which had been traded at Rs. 93,000 per tola on Thursday, was traded at Rs. 94,000 per tola on Friday, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA). Likewise, the price of silver also increased to Rs. 1,250 per tola from Rs. 1,235 on Thursday.

Training on tea harvesting starts in Ilam

The National Tea and Coffee Development Board has started imparting training on tea harvesting to Ilam tea farmers from Friday under the 'Sustainable Export Promotion Project of Nepali Tea'. According to the Board, the project that runs with the participation of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development has started providing training as per the needs of farmers and seasons.

UML assigns responsibilities for party leaders

The main opposition CPN-UML has assigned responsibilities for the office bearers and leaders after a new working committee was elected from the 10th National Congress. The UML has issued an inter-party directive appointing heads of various departments as well as provincial and district in-charges. Producers of Prem Geet-3 have informed that Indian singers gave their voice to the Hindi version of the film. They informed that work of composing the Hindi version of the song has been completed. Feasibility study on rock climbing ends in Lamjung

A feasibility study has been carried out on a cliff near Chyamche in Lamjung for rock climbing. Experts of Gandaki Alpine Club conducted the study.
