Monsoon expected to stay beyond normal date

Monsoon for this season is expected to stay longer as the new monsoon-phenomenon that developed a few days ago in India arrived in Nepal on Monday. "Formal date for Nepal's monsoon phenomenon to come to an end is September 23, but this time it is expected to stay a bit longer, at least one week or more," Min Kumar Aryal, senior meteorologist at Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, said.

Kathmandu Valley records 647 new cases of COVID-19

The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Tuesday confirmed 647 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley.
