China slams U.S. approval of arms sale to Taiwan

China on Thursday expressed firm opposition to the U.S. State Department's approval of an arms sale to Taiwan, and has lodged solemn representations with the U.S. side, according to a Foreign Ministry spokesperson.

Govt. takes initiative to bring in fertilizer from five more countries

The government has taken an initiative to bring fertilizer on the basis of a government-to-government (GtoG) agreement from five more countries following successful GtoG purchase from Bangladesh. Krishi Samagri Company Ltd has a stock of 9 thousand metric tons of Diammonium phosphate (DAP) and 18 thousand metric tons of urea fertilizer.
