By Chhabi Pandey, Butwal, Aug. 5: The special session of the Lumbini Provincial Assembly has been called for August 11.
The special session was called after a no-confidence motion was filed by the opposition alliance against Chief Minister Shankar Pokharel.
Issuing a notice on Thursday, the Lumbini Provincial Assembly informed that Province Chief Amik Sherchan had called the special session on August 11 at 1:00 in the afternoon.
A total of 34 provincial assembly members from Nepali Congress (NC), NCP (Maoist Centre), Janata Samajwadi Party-Nepal (JSP-N), and Rashtriya Janamorcha Party had filed a no-confidence proposal on August 2, Monday.
