Govt intensifies inoculation drive

As the government is intensifying vaccination programme against COVID-19, senior citizens, who were waiting for the second dose of the vaccine, will get the booster dose from Monday. The country is administering COVID-19 vaccines to more than 150,000 people a day on average over the past few days.

APF will be well equipped, says Home Minister Khand

Minister for Home Affairs Bal Krishna Khand has assured to make the Armed Police Force well equipped with necessary manpower and resources. 17,000 Baitadi residents vaccinated

More than 17,000 people of Baitadi were administered with the first dose of Verocell vaccine against the coronavirus during the latest vaccination drive carried out in the district. Chandan Subedi of the statistics branch of the health office, Baitadi said a total of 17,299 people had received the first dose of the vaccine during the vaccination campaign executed during August 1-5. Two women held with brown sugar hidden in genitals

A team from the Armed Police Force arrested two women with 44.3 gram brown sugar on Saturday. The duo had hidden the drugs inside their genitals. According to the District Police Office, Jhapa, the Armed Police Force (APF) had checked the duo along the Nepal-India border while they were entering Nepal via Ward 4 of Gauriganj Rural Municipality.
