1,702 new cases of COVID-19, 24 fatalities in 24 hours

In 9,443 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the past 24 hours, a total of 1,702 persons were found infected with SARS-CoV-2, informed the Ministry of Health and Population on Sunday through its regular update.

Over 9,000 youth apply to go to Israel for employment

A total of 9,699 youth have applied to go to Israel for employment. The number of applicants is nine times higher than the demand quota of 1,000 given by Israel in the first phase. The Department of Foreign Employment (DoFE) had called for applications for 1,000 assistant workers in long-term care homes in Israel on July 27 and 9,699 applications have been received until the last date which ended on last Monday, said Dambar Bahadur Sunuwar, director of the Department of Foreign Employment.
