FM Sharma urges MFIs to cut interest rate

Accepting the demand letter of the Microfinance Association of Nepal on Sunday, Minister Sharma stated that the living standards of the poor people will not change unless the MFIs reduced interest rates. Their role will be important in reducing poverty as they have a higher penetration in the rural areas and deprived communities.

32 per cent of people aged above 18 fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in Nepal

Dr. Sagar Dahal, Chief of the National Immunisation Programme, said that 32 per cent of some 19.9 million people aged above 18 years have been vaccinated with the full dose of the vaccine against COVID-19 while 39 per cent of them have got the first dose of the vaccine.
