By Bishnu Pande, Kathmandu, Oct. 3: Some 32 per cent of people aged above 18 years in Nepal have been fully vaccinated while 39 per cent of the total population have been vaccinated with a single dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Dr. Sagar Dahal, Chief of the National Immunisation Programme, said that 32 per cent of some 19.9 million people aged above 18 years have been vaccinated with the full dose of the vaccine against COVID-19 while 39 per cent of the total population have got the first dose of the vaccine.  

According to the data as of Friday, October 1, some 23 per cent of people out of 3.2 million in Province 1 have been fully vaccinated while 33 per cent have got their first shot.

In Province 2, of 4.1 million people, 23 per cent have got full dose of the vaccine against COVID-19 while 25 per cent have got the first dose only.

In Bagmati Province, of 4.2 million people, 54 per cent have got full dose while 61 per cent have got the first dose of the vaccine.

Of the estimated 1.6 million people in Gandaki Province, 37 per cent have got a full dose of the vaccine while 40 per cent have got the first dose.

In Lumbini Province, 26 per cent of 3.3 million people have got full dose while 32 per cent have received the first dose of the vaccine.

Of 1.2 million people in Karnali Province, 21 per cent of them have got full dose while 28 per cent have received the first dose of the vaccine against COVID-19.

In Sudur Paschhim Province, 26 per cent of 1.9 million people have got a full dose of the vaccine while 28 per cent have got the first dose.
