Long-route vehicular service standstill   

The operation of long-route vehicles has come to a halt from today taking into consideration the potential risks of COVID-19 outbreak.     A meeting of the Nepal National Federation of Transport Entrepreneurs has on Sunday took the decision to shut the operation of long-route vehicles to implement the government's decision to stop the service from today,    

 Call to operate transportation service  

Federation of Truck Transport Entrepreneurs Nepal has urged all entrepreneurs to operate transport service without any obstruction.     Issuing a press release on Sunday, the Federation has urged the entrepreneurs to ensure smooth operation of transport which comes under the most essential service.    

COVID-19: Call to remain cautious against possible risks 

The government has urged the general public to remain united against the potential risks stemming from COVID-19.     Noting that there is possible risk of outbreak of novel coronavirus, the government underlined the need of collective efforts to fight against the global pandemic.    

 FECOFUN's buildings can be used as quarantine wards  

In order to minimize possible risks of COVID-19, the Federation of Community Forest Users Nepal (FECOFUN) said its building across the country can be used as quarantine ward as per the need.    

Energy Minister Pun makes onsite visit of Upper Tamakoshi

Minister Pun along with the top officials of the Ministry and Nepal Electricity Authority reached the site to inspect the successful tests of descending. Medical human resources to be mobilized for fighting COVID-19

The Ministry of Health and Population called for deploying the medical human resources working under the states for prevention and control of the coronavirus pneumonia infection as the pandemic is accelerating further.

EPF closes financial transactions until April 3

The EPF's decision in this regard aims to reduce the infection risks, said Rameshwor Shrestha, representative of the EPF's Pulchowk branch, adding that it however would continue essential services. A statement issued by the EPF also asked its members to stay on alert against the infection.
