COVID-19 cases confirmed in all but Siraha district in State-2   

COVID-19 infection was confirmed in 62 people on a single day in State-2 on Tuesday, including 57 in Parsa, two each in Mahottari and Dhanusha and one in Bara district. With this the total number of infected people in the State has reached 94.     The highest number of cases are in Parsa. Coronavirus infection has been found in 82 people including three Indians in Parsa district.

NCP standing committee meeting put off

The Nepal Communist Party (NCP) standing committee meeting has been put off. The meeting was to take place at 11 am at the party head office at Dhumrabarahi today. It is postponed until the standing committee members are tested for coronavirus, the Party Office secretary Ishwori Rijal said. 

Securing Lipulek: Team leaves for Darchula to set up APF border outpost 

A team has left here today for Darchula district in connection with setting up an Armed Police Force (APF)'s unit in that area for securing the border around the Lipulek area. APF's border outpost (BOP) is being set up at Chhangru of Byas rural municipality in Darchula district.    

Armed Police Force increasing its vigil at border

The Armed Police Force (APF) has increased its vigilance at the border after Nepalis started crossing the Mahakali river to come to their homes one after the other. The Mahakali river forms the border with India. The people crossing the river by swimming and on tire tubes have been taken under control and kept in quarantines at the local level.
