The Crimson Hospital at Manigram Butwal has been sealed off. The hospital was sealed today after a patient undergoing treatment there tested positive to COVID-19.    

Karnali government to set up COVID screening center at Chhinchu

The Karnali state government has decided to set up a medical screening center at Chhinchu of Surkhet for conducting medical checkup of those returning homes from India amidst the COVID-19 crisis.

     House continues deliberations on new policy and programmes: received mixed reactions

Lockdown affects Bheri Babai Diversion Multipurpose Project, contract worth Rs 2 billion scrapped   

The construction work relating to the Bheri Babai Diversion Multipurpose Project (BBDMP) has been adversely affected due to the ongoing lockdown. As a result, the contract to be awarded for the construction of gate and penstock pipe under the Project has been scrapped before it is mature.    

State-2 records 131 cases of COVID-19 

A total of 131 COVID-19 cases have been reported in the State-2 as of today.     With new nine cases of COVID-19 reported today including eight from Rautahat and one from Bara district, the tally of COVID-19 patients in the State has reached 131 from earlier 122, according to the Ministry of Health and Population of State-2.

Ninety three Nepalis rescued from Rampur of India 

Ninety three people of local Thalara rural municipality, who were stranded in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh of India due to the ongoing lockdown, have reached home.    

Twenty nine journalists test negative for coronavirus   

Twenty nine journalists based in Bhaktapur have tested negative for COVID-19. The swab samples were collected from them on Friday and subjected to the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test at the laboratory operated by Nepal-Korea Friendship Hospital. The laboratory has been brought into operation with the support of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality.
