NC President Deuba urges NSU to expand organization up to villages

At a blood donation programme organized by NSU central committee today on the occasion of 96th birth anniversary of NC’s former president and Prime Minister, Girija Prasad Koirala, President Deuba stressed that the NSU leaders should reach the districts and villages and build organization.

   Rice planting till end of June at 38 per cent 

Till the end of June, 38 per cent rice transplantation was completed across the country and this was possible due to timely monsoon. The figure is around three times more rice plantation done during corresponding period last year.  

Demonstration in support of PM Oli in Bhaktapur

  A public rally was organised in support of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at local Surya Binayak today. The support rally was organised in the name of independent citizens. The participants of the rally chanted slogans in PM Oli's support on the occasion. Scores of people had assembled for the support rally called through social media.

Quarantine facility in Kathmandu lacks basic facilities  

A quarantine facility at Jaharsinghpauwa in Shankharapur municipality in Kathmandu is devoid of basic facilities like electricity and decent accommodation, the facility users complained.  

Rain forecast throughout country for next three days 

Rainfall has been forecast throughout the country for the next three days as monsoon has become active.     The Meteorological Forecasting Division has urged all to adopt necessary alertness to be safe from landslide and flood as there is possibility of rain in the next few days.

The trend of carrying out infrastructure development activities at the last month of fiscal year has not been stopped yet.     A legal provision has been made for the approval of the budget of the three-tier of governments for construction of development infrastructure projects in the month of Asar of previous year.

Local level official arrested on mistreatment charge 

Chairman of Bhimdatta municipality, Ward No. 9, Ram Nath, has been arrested on the charge of misbehaving against a woman. The police held him after the locals accused him of misbehaving against a woman at local Brahmadev market last night. Nath was reportedly drunk at that time.  

CMS dillydallies for land rent payment

The Bharatpur-based College of Medical Sciences (CMS) operated on the investment of Indian nationals is dillydallying for the payment of the land rent worth amounting to over Rs 25.8 million to the Bharatpur Hospital.
