Two persons arrested with pistols   

Police here have arrested two persons on the charge of illegally possessing two pistols and 10 rounds of bullet. The pistols bear the 'Made in USA' label.    

  Lidi landslide: death toll hits 29  

The number of people killed after they were buried by landslide occurred at Lidi, Jugal rural municipality-2 of Sindhupalchowk district last Friday has reached 29.

NEA Kharipati building developed as isolation centre 

Bhaktapur, Aug 20 : The quarantine developed for the first time in Bhaktapur, Kharipati now has turned into isolation centre.     The Nepal Electricity Authority Building is turned into isolation as it was developed as the quarantine while keeping Nepali students who were brought in the country from Wuhan of China in the wake of COVID-19 outbreak about six months ago.

INLS establishes National Poet Madhav Ghimire Award   

The International Nepali Literary Society (INLS) has instituted the ‘National Poet Madhav Ghimire Award’. A meeting of the INLS Board of Trustees on August 19 decided to set up the award in the memory of national poet Ghimire.    

Priest shot dead   

Shreeram Saha, 65, priest of the Hanuman Temple in Madhav Narayan municipality-2, Khesarhiyatol, was gunned down at around 9.30 pm on Wednesday.
