Nepal Police arranges free treatment to flood survivors in Sindhupalchwok   

A team of health workers and doctors from Nepal Police has provided free treatment to flood survivors of Helambu and Melamchi in Sindhupalchowk.    

849 border marker pillars missing along international border in Province – 2   

 Eight hundred and forty nine border marker pillars have been missing along the border with India in Province no 2. Eight districts of the province share 464 kilometres border with India from Gobargadha of Saptari district in the east to Thori of Parsa district in the west.    

Landslide displaces 94 families in Bajura  

The incessant rainfall since the 15th of this month has thrown life out of gear in the district. Scores of settlements are at risk due to flood and landslide triggered by the monsoon rain.    

Financial assistance to Helambu flood survivors   

The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Japan, Tochigi Regional Committee has provided financial assistance of Rs 111 thousand 111 to the Helambu rural municipality.    

Rhino poacher sent to jail 

A person convicted of killing four rhinos in Chitwan National Park has been sent to jail. He is Rajman Thapa Magar alias Rajman Magar.  

Arguments over HoR dissolution from writ petitioners conclude

The legal practitioners of the writ petitioners argued that the incumbent Prime Minister, elected under the Article 76 (3) of the Constitution of Nepal, could not participate in the Article 76 (5) and the Prime Minister, who lost vote of confidence of Article 76 (3) has no right to dissolve the House of Representatives.

SC issues interim order not to appoint Karki as ambassador

A division bench of Justices Sapana Pradhan Malla and Prakash Kumar Dhungana hearing the writ petition filed by advocate Dipak Bikram Mishra issued the order not to appoint Karki to the post of ambassador stating that he does not meet the requirement to the post.

World Bank provides Rs 17.78 billion concessional loan

The agreement was signed on Sunday by Finance Secretary Sishir Kumar Dhungana on behalf of the Government of Nepal and the World Bank Country Director for Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, Faris Hadad-Zervos.

Baitadi village reeling under drinking water shortage as landslide sweeps away pipe

According to Drinking Water Project Chairperson Laxmi Dutta Bhatta, the landslide occurred on last Friday damaged some 300 to 400 metres of the drinking water pipe at Sunarya Rural Municipality-3. Since then, the locals at Chadepani village, which is some 20 kilometres away from the source of water, have been facing shortage of drinking water, shared Keshav Bhatta, one of the affected locals.
