45,000 metric tonnes fertilizer purchased from Bangladesh reaches Nepal

Forty five thousand metric tonnes of urea that Nepal has purchased from Bangladesh has reached the country. The purchase was done through government-to-government agreement. The fertilizer has reached the Krishi Samagri Company Limited provincial office, Birgunj, Biratnagar and Bhairahawa.

Hearing on HoR dissolution continues in SC

Hearing on the case related to the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR) has begun in the Constitutional Bench in Supreme Court today too. Former attorney general Agni Kharel has presented his arguments from government (defendant)’s side.

NRNA forms election committee   

The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) has formed an election committee. NRNA President Kumar Panta formed the election committee in order to hold election of NRNA office-bearers under the 10th International General Convention in coming October.    

Two dead, three injured in landslide

Landslide has buried two persons to death in Bandipur rural municipality-3, Tamung. One among three others injured is said to be critical, police said.    

Melamchi sees rise in water level; safety alerts issued 

The rainfall continued since Wednesday afternoon has put the settlements from Helambu to Melamchi at risk. Nepal Police has cautioned the general public to adopt high alerts measures with the rise in the water current.

Operations of country’s domestic flights which were put off to stem the outbreak of COVID-19 have resumed after an interval of around two months.    

Prithvi Highway obstructed in several places 

Landslides occurred following incessant rain since Tuesday evening have disrupted road traffic in different places of the Prithvi Highway.     The landslides taking places in different sections of the 72-km Highway from Anbukhaireni to Kotre caused road disruptions.
