President Deuba terms intraparty competition as beauty of democracy   

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, who is also the Nepali Congress President, has said that internal competition inside the party was the beauty of democracy.   

Landslide obstructs Narayanghat-Muglin road section

NC Ward conventions to begin in 56 districts from Friday

About nine hundred thousand NC active members are voters of the party's village/municipal ward conventions. As per the Congress statute, the active members elect the ward committee and regional representative of their ward. The ward convention will elect one chair, two deputy chairpersons, two secretaries and two joint secretaries. In addition, ward members and regional representatives will be elected in proportion to the number of voters.

Order not to hear the dispute related to the Constitutional Council

A single bench of Justice Hari Prasad Phuyal today issued an interim order not to hear the dispute over the ordinance in the Constitutional bench till the final settlement of the writ petition. As a result, the hearing of the dispute over the ordinance, which was pending with the order on Friday, has also been stopped.

Prime Minister Deuba and Chairman Prachanda discuss cabinet expansion

According to the Prime Minister's Secretariat, the top two leaders of the ruling coalition met at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar to discuss the expansion of the Council of Ministers, functioning of the government and other contemporary political issues.
