President Bhandari to visit Baglung

According to Chief District Officer of Baglung Shiva Kumar Karki, President Bhandari will arrive in Dhorpata of Baglung on Saturday afternoon. "The President is arriving in Dhorpatan for a visit. She will return to Kathmandu tomorrow itself by spending some time in Dhorpatan area," CDO Karki said.

Addressing an interaction programme on Chitwan's Health Concerns here this morning, he said that there was a need for a policy-level overhaul in the health sector adding that old laws, rules, and practices were still in practice despite political changes in the country.    

Nine persons including ward chairman arrested for gambling   

Police have arrested nine persons including, Bhairab Bahadur Adhikari, Ward Chairman of Suryagadhi Rural Municipality-5 in Nuwakot district on Thursday night on charge of gambling.     Superintendent of Police (SP) of Nuwakot Tul Bahadur Karki said that the gamblers were nabbed from a hotel in Bidur in the time of playing card.     

Handicraft trade fair being organised   

Federation of Handicraft Associations of Nepal is organising a handicraft trade fair from November 19-21 in Kathmandu.     The Federation said that the 18th handicraft trade fair and 16th handicraft competition would be held in Hotel Hyatt Regency in the capital city.
