Shivakoti gets honorary citizenship of South Korea 

South Korea has honoured a Nepali citizen with the honorary citizenship of Korea.     Nawaraj Shivakoti of Biratnagar, Morang, received the honorary citizenship of Korea on December 1 amidst a programme organised by Seoul Metropolis. The Metropolis honours foreign nationals with this award every year.    

Youth dead in Tanahun shooting   

A youth died in a shooting incident occurred at Thaprek of Shuklagandaki Municipality-1 in Tanahun district last night. The deceased is Rohit Malla, 17, of the same area, the District Police Office, Tanahun said.    

Pun elected NC Lumbini Province President   

Amar Singh Pun has been elected the President of the Nepali Congress (NC) Lumbini Province Committee. Of the total 1,631 votes cast, Pun got 867 votes from the voting held Sunday while his rival Bharat Kumar Shah managed to secure 767 votes, Election Officer Dr Buddha Bahadur Thapa said.
